Shaji Kailas is getting ready to revive his Alibhai with Mohanlal.This was the film that the director was planning to make before he started Baba Kalyani But, due to some problems with completing the script, they decided to concentrate on the other film first. There were talks however that the director and actor had decided to drop this film forever, a news that Shaji Kailas had always denied. Now, plans have started to revive the film.
Anthony Perumbavoor is producing the film for Ashirwad Films. Gopika is the heroine. Though she had acted with Mohanlal before in Keerthichakra, she wasn't his heroine. This is her first film with him as his heroine. She is also starring in the heroine-oriented Nagaram with a big bunch of actresses. The film's shooting begins in May. Alibhai will be Mohanlal's Onam release.
