The actor signs a film after two years, will be seen in director Rohit Shetty's next
After waiting for two years for the right project to come his way, actor Shahid Kapoor has finally signed on the dotted line. Director Rohit Shetty of Golmaal fame has managed to convince Shahid Kapoor to act in his yet untitled film. The film will be produced by Ramesh Sippy.
Shahid says, "I was looking for a great subject. I have been listening to scripts for a while now. But when I met Rohit, something just felt right. I think Rohit is a talented director and I loved his script. Why not sign something good when it comes to you? I am happy and really looking forward to doing the film."
Director Rohit Shetty says, "I have an odd combination in the film, with Nana Patekar and Shahid in the lead roles. But at the end of the day, it is a light-hearted, comedy film for family audiences. It is a very unusual role for Nana which the audiences have never seen before."
Speaking about Shahid doing the film, Rohit says, "Shahid told me that he has not signed any film in a long time but he loved my script from the time it was narrated to him. I am glad that I have him in the film."
The film will go on floors sometime in mid- 2007.
