The latest is that Yash Raj Films is impressed by Shahid Kapur's performance in Jab We Met and has signed him on for their next production to be directed by Anurag Singh.
The project is expected to roll from March next year. Anurag Singh is believed to be a close associate of Aditya Chopra. The film is a love story. According to sources, Shahid fell in love with the script and has given his nod to Yash Raj Films. He is meeting many filmmakers after Jab We Met and is signing films after much deliberation. He wants to choose the right scripts.
The actor is flooded with offers and its seems that quite a few filmmakers queuing up to sign him. Shahid seems to have broken his one-film-at-a-time rule as this is not the only film that he is doing. He is also gearing up for Ken Ghosh's film where he sports long hair. After that he is expected to begin shooting for his father, actor Pankaj Kapoor's directorial venture. In fact, the split with Kareena Kapoor seems to be working out well for Shahid.
