Shaam has everything going for him. Age, looks, acting talent, and dancing skills. But some how success has eluded him and he is struggling to make any discernable impact in the field. Right from the beginning he has got good roles and has been receiving critical acclaim for his performance in films like 12B or Ey Nee Romba Azhaga Irkkey. But success continued to elude him.
Shaam, therefore, has decided to tread a time-tested path to reach the right destination. He has decided to switch to the action-oriented movies as opposed to movies with strong characters. After Sivamayam and Anthony Yaar – his current projects that are under way - he plans to concentrate on action roles.
To start with, Shaam is now committed to do 100% action role in Agam Puram, which was launched last week. He plays a character that believes in doing anything for the sake of money. The character does not mind taking up the wrong path for the same.
So you will see a new Shaam in Agam Puram. The man, full of action will be sporting beard and moustache in the movie. His looks will be quite different in the film. Keerath plays the female lead. The film is directed by Thirumalai and produced by M. Gopalakrishnan. Music is scored by Sundar C. Babu.
But wanting to do action roles doesn't mean that the hero won’t take up any romantic or soft natured roles. He is ready to take up roles like the one he did in 12B. Decision to do more action roles is only to get a good market in Tamil film world. The desire to do meaningful roles that offer variety will always be there, clarifies Shaam.
The action packed Agam Puram will start rolling by this month end. The movie might be released by the year end.
