Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, standing trial in connection with India's deadliest terror attack, says he can't concentrate on work because he's nervous about the upcoming verdict.
Dutt is one of 123 defendents accused in connection with a series of bombs that exploded in Mumbai, March 12, 1993, killing 257 people.
Dutt, who is out on bail, has been charged with possession of an assault rifle - a charge he denies. If convicted, he could face five years in prison.
Judge Pramod Kode has so far found 30 people guilty and is expected to deliver all verdicts connected to the 1993 attack before the end of this year.
No court date has been set for Dutt's case.
``I'm nervous. I'm apprehensive,'' he was quoted as saying by the Press Trust of India news agency.
``I wish and pray everything goes well and I get my freedom,'' Dutt told. ``It is not easy to lead a normal life at this stage ... You can't concentrate on your work.''
The bombing trial began in June 1995 and ended in January 2003, after hearing testimonies of 686 witnesses.
The delay in the delivering of verdicts has been blamed largely on procedural matters.
``I have full faith in the judiciary of the country,'' Dutt said. ``I have faith in the people of this country. I just take one day at a time.''
