Sanjay Leela Bhansali's soon to be released 'Saawariya' and Amitabh Bachchan starrer 'The Last Lear' are among over 50 movies that will be screened during the Mahindra Indo-American Arts Council film festival that will culminate in a star-studded award function on November 11.
Besides the two big films, Feroze Abbas Khan's 'Gandhi, My Father,' Rituparno Ghosh's 'Dosar' and Pan Nalin's 'Valley of Flowers' will also be shown at the festival.
The films to be showcased in the festival mostly include short films and documentaries by small independent producers who find difficult to showcase their work.
The organizers have also launched a concept of "Script Link" which brings budding writer in contact with the producers and directors. The organisers said 14 writers have been selected in the first year.
