At the recently held function for the Mumbai Police, Shahrukh Khan was seen extending a hand of friendship towards Big B. However, reports are that he just got thoroughly ignored by the Bachchans. Say this to King Khan, who was seen promoting his forthcoming film, Om Shanti Om at an event and the otherwise cool Khan was almost irked.
He said, “We are good people. We have a lot of respect. Every time we meet, people say the same things about a cold war. Now it’s getting boring. I am no longer pissed off. It’s just too boring. I like him a lot. I respect him and his family a lot. We are educated people.”
Well, people talk about what they see. Anyway, his ‘admiration’ for Big B is quite evident in the promos of Om Shanti Om SRK even says, “I am very inspired by Amitji. I have grown up watching him. Om Shanti Om is inspired by his films like Amar Akbar Anthony, Parvarish and Sholay.”
Shahrukh will be yet again competing with Salman this Diwali This year, as SRK’s Om Shanti Om hits the big screen, so will Salman’s Saawariya. Does that make King Khan any nervous? He retorts, “No I never get nervous. Yes, there is some anxiety since everything is ready…but you just get anxious to see the product…”
Reports are that Shahrukh Khan has no projects in hand for the next eight months. SRK confirmed the news by quipping, “I am in a happy state of unemployment.” Well, doesn’t eight months seem to be a long time for a workaholic like SRK to be happy in?
