 Adlabs has picked up Sanjay Suri's SAY SALAAM INDIA and would be presenting it all over as the film releases on March 30. SAY SALAAM INDIA is a story that begins with cricket, continues with cricket and ends with cricket. It is a film that has everyone involved in the narrative attached to cricket by some means - good, bad or downright ugly. But then as the saying goes, may the best team win. And something similar is expected as the film culminates into a climax. The story of SAY SALAAM INDIA revolves around a bunch of 4 boys (Viru, Mahi, Shakeel and Guri) who come from a humble background and don't have riches to their disposal. But there is something that they have in abundance - passion to excel, passion to prove a point and passion to do everything that it takes to bring them closer to their goal - CRICKET! The two unused songs from 'Kal Ho Naa Ho', which Nikhil had directed for Karan seemed to fit into 'Salaam-E-Ishq' and when Nikhil asked Karan whether he could take them , Karan magnanimously allowed him. AdLabs of Anil Ambani group of Reliance, signed an agreement with the banner for distribution of the film overseas (US). Gita Krishna says, ‘We are shooting the film with digital camera. Almost 50 per cent shooting was complete and it would be wrapped up by the end of April. It is a complete youthful film. His next production will be a sequel to No Entry, directed by Anees Bazmi again. But the big one for Boney is the sequel to his 1987 blockbuster Mr India. But this time, Shekhar Kapoor will not direct this sequel. Instead, Nikhil Advani currently editing and marketing Salaam-e-Ishq has been approached for the film. "Yes, I've been sounded out," says Advani. "Mr Boney Kapoor and I have had preliminary meetings. The director is currently working on the script.
