Senior congress leader and finance minster K Rosaiah has decided not to contest the next assembly elections. He represents the Chirala assembly constituency. Rosaiah is opting out on health grounds. He underwent a by pass surgery recently and does not want to strain himself further.
Chief minster Ys Rajashekar Reddy has said that Rosaiah will be sent to the legislative council and then made a minister. He will be made the official spokesman for the cabinet.
