M Sathyanarayana Rao refused to make any comment on the proposed Rs.a kilo Rice scheme. Y S Rajashekar Reddy has mooted the idea to implement the scheme popularized by late NT Rama Rao in the eighties.

Huge financial implications are involved in the scheme. MSR said that Rosaiah may not be in favor of the scheme., But like a sincere and obedient student, he always implements the decision taken by the chief minister under whom he works.
