  Director Rajasenan has roped in Vimala Raman as the female lead for his upcoming film Romeo starring Dileep in the lead role. This is the first time that Vimala Raman will be starring opposite Dileep, though she also appears in a pivotal role in the Dileep starrer Calcutta News. Dileep had earlier worked with Rajasenan in Darling Darling. Romeo is a romantic flick, being scripted and produced by Rafi Mecartin. The movie is slated for a Christmas release. Jayachandran scores the music and Nambiyadiri cranks the camera.

Even though none of her films made big talk at the box office, still she has two big releases in Nasrani opposite Mammootty and in College Kumaran opposite Mohanlal. She had recently been with Dileep in Calcutta News in a short cameo, but not as his heroine.
