Ravi Chopra’s Baabul is a hit. The film is doing well in India and has rocked the overseas market. And even before Baabul completes a week, Ravi Chopra has planned another film with his favourite star Amitabh Bachchan. Informs Ravi Chopra, “Yes, I have a new script which is in the writing stage currently. It will star Amitabh Bachchan. The film has a romantic aspect which is inspired from The Bridges of Madison County.” The twist however, is about the selection of the leading lady. Though it is said that Hema Malini will the leading lady in the film, there is also a buzz that Ravi Chopra is considering to cast Madhuri Dixit opposite Big B. So, whether it will be Madhuri Dixit or Hema Malini starring with Amitabh Bachchan is to be seen.

Before going ahead with this film, Ravi Chopra already has another film in pipeline. “I will first be making the comedy the film (tentatively titled) Pappu Pass Ho Gaya, which will go on floors early next year. The Amitabh Bachchan starrer will come after that.” However, Chopra at the moment is thinking of changing the title of his comedy film, since a film titled Aur Pappu Pass Ho Gaya, is already under production. This film is a comedy revolving around lawyers written by Ashok Patole

Besides these, Ravi Chopra is also producing Bhootnath starring Amitabh Bachchan and Juhi Chawla. For this film, Chopra is also planning to rope in Mithun Chakraborty for a dance number. “We are planning to talk with him for this since he will suit perfectly well for the song.” If this works out, Big B and Mithun Chakraborty will be seen together after 16 years. Bhootnath is being directed by Vivek Sharma.

Then of course is the gigantic project Mahabharat which will go on floors in 2008.

This is the first time in the history of BR Films that more than one film is simultaneously under production. With the number of films coming out from the BR house, we can surely say that the banner is making a powerful comeback in the film world.
