The troubles for the Eenadu group chairman do not seem to be ending. After his recent troubles with the government over the irregularities in Margadarsi financiers, Ramoji Rao was involved in a bitter spat with his younger son Suman over the running of ETV. Ramoji Rao sacked the creative had of ETV Prabhakar and has taken complete control of the channel.
Ramoji Rao has now been summoned by the court in Bellary over a defamation case. The Brahmani Steels chief Gali Janardhan Reddy filed a defamation case against Ramoji Rao for a series of reports in Eenadu daily. The court asked Ramoji Rao to appear before it in 2005 but Ramoji Rao did not respond.
The court has now issued fresh summons to Ramoji Rao and asked him to appear before the court within 30 days.
