D Ramanaidu who holds the Guinness book of records for producing the highest number of films and has also held a successful stint in politics has finally bid goodbye to politics. It is well known that Ramanaidu was very active in politics represting the Telugu Desam.

He has also been a Member of Parliament. However he has finally called it a day in politics. He announced this decision while on a visit to Karamchedu in Prakasam district. He cited health reasons for quitting politics. He has even refused to revive his primary membership of the Telugu Desam party.

Ramanaidu however clarified that he would continue his philanthropic activities and will go all out to help the needy to the best of his ability.
