Superstar Rajnikanth started his career by playing negative roles. He started of as a villain and later graduated into a hero. Rajnikanth is now slated to play a negative role once again. This time, it is in a mythological film. Bollywood director Raj Kumar Santoshi is making a film titled 'Ravana'. Rajnikanth has been approached to play the title role.
The film will portray Ravna in a positive light.The film will show the good qualities of Ravana that are hitherto unknown to many. Rajni accepted to do the film after going through the script. The film will go on floors in early 2009.
