There is a strong rumour in Kollywood that Rani Mukherjee will be paired with Rajnikanth in his next film with Maniratnam. She was supposed to act with Rajni in Sivaji , but she could not do so because of her tight Bollywood schedule.
Now, Maniratnam wants a story like Thalapathy, which was a mega hit. He is keen on signing up Rani as the heroine for the yet-to-be-titled project. Though many actors, including Trisha and Asin , are in the fray, Rani is sure to get the offer, say sources in Kollywood
