Guess who saved sexy siren Mallika Sherawat from legal wrangles? It’s none other than the celluloid Badsha Rajinikant.
Mallika was in the grip of fear that she will be arrested and arraigned by the Tamil Nadu police. The 'Hindu Makkal Katch'(HMK) had lodged a criminal complaint with the police for her skimpy and see-through dress that revealed her luscious legs and more in front of the Tamil audience.
And,` outrageously’, she sat cross-legged in front of the Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi. Moreover, she had denigrated the women, especially the Tamil womanhood, it was alleged. The HMK wanted the TN police to act against her forthwith.
But, now the charge has been dropped. Enquiries reveal that superstar Rajinikanth is said to be the prince in armor who came to her rescue. Apparently, Rajini is said to have advised the Tamil leaders and lawyers that Mallika was a guest of the state and not a native and her sartorial scheme should not be taken seriously.
The rich and powerful of Tamil Nadu consider Rajinikanth's words as gospel and given the fact that he never recommends anyone, his advice this time worked. They have followed his words blindly and Mallika has been bailed out unhurt. It now remains to be seen if Mallika is going to reciprocate this gesture which the less fortunate Shriya faced. And, pray, what of the `Ulaganayakan’ Kamal Hasan whose honoured guest she was? Ask many.
