The TDP which bagged the Municipal Corporation of Rajamundry has chosen Adireddy Veeraraghavamma as its Mayoral candidate. This makes her the first woman Mayor of Rajamundry.
The TDP won the corporation elections with a comfortable margin winning 29 seats. Four independent share pledged support to the TDP. The congress party bagged only 17 seats.
