Gayatri Joshi (remember Swades?) believes that public bathroom queues are not meant for her. Why? Because she is builder Vicky Oberoi's wife!
Remember Gayatri Joshi who made her debut in Ashutosh Gowariker's Swades opposite Shah Rukh Khan? Recently, the actress got into a squabble with women in the washroom of a suburban theatre.
An eye-witness says, "There was a long queue of women waiting to use the toilet during the interval. All the ladies were waiting patiently for their turn when Gayatri breezed in and headed straight to the loo! The women waiting in the queue did not lose any time before reminding her that she had to stand in line if she wanted to use the loo."
Gayatri did not take it well. "In a fit of rage, she said, 'Do you know who I am? I am Gayatri Joshi, builder Vicky Oberoi's wife! I am not used to being told what to do and what not to do!'" says our source.
It was then that the rest of the people realised that she was the Swades actress. Our source says, "Till then nobody had even recognised her. She expected to get instant attention but when that did not happen, she was disappointed." People were shocked at Gayatri's behaviour. She is known to be a very polite person.
When we asked Gayatri about this incident, she burst into laughter. "Ha, ha, ha," she said.
Later she added, "I don't want to talk about anything. Which Gayatri are you talking about! Maybe she was some other Gayatri!"
