The Lok Satta party today said the Andhra Pradesh Government was neglecting public transport by emasculating the Road Transport Corporation contrary to its election promises. He said party's state working committee members Bodepudi Satyanarayana and P Bhaskar Rao claimed that the Government, far from strengthening RTC with the acquisition of new buses, expansion and improvement of its services, was washing its hands of its responsibility by permitting private buses to ply on nationalized routes.
