Glamorous Bipashaah is at it again! The lady is going wild, provocative, seductive and irresistible in ‘Pankh’, a film that deals with repercussions of a child artiste who played a girl in films. Bipasha is at her sexiest best - she plays an imaginary character, an alter-ego and fantasy, who only exists in the protagonist’s mind. Bips is said to have consented to the film after just a one-line narration.
Not just this, Bipasha is doing a sensuous number ‘Jiya Jala Na’ for the film. In this song, she seduces the hero - Jerry. She creates confusion in his mind about his real identity - whether he`s a boy or girl, a man or eunuch because he used to be a famous child artiste, cross-dressed by his mother as a girl.
Talking to a news daily, director Sudipto Chattopadhyay, who has styled the actress’ look in the song, said, "The idea was executed by Rocky S and Gavin Miguel. It`s a very seductive song sung by Sunidhi Chauhan. I wanted her to look like two divas - Sophia Loren and Liza Minelli from Cabaret. Bipasha even cut her hair for the song, she didn`t want to wear a wig as it doesn`t fit proportionately."
Imaginary Bipasha completely undoes Jerry, which leads to the final catastrophe. She pushes him to fly and that`s why the film is called Wings or ‘Pankh’. He flies away from the reality of sordid existence. Director Sudipto Chattopadhyay said, “Bips has a different look in every scene. There`s no consistent look for her. There`s a constant disturbance in Jerry`s mind. His only relief is when he sexually fantasises about Bips. He wants to make love to her.”
“Bipasha plays a woman who is constantly trying to provoke the 20-year-old Jerry (the protagonist) played by Maradona Rebello. She agreed to do the role after just a one-line narration. She`s Jerry`s alter-ego and fantasy who only exists in his mind. He always imagines her to be a diva. Actually she`s an actress but we don`t show her except in a poster," said the director, talking about Bips’ character.
Well, the sensuous side of hot Bips is all set to scorch the big screen. Gear up for the onslaught!
