Last heard, Preity Zinta had opted out of Jahnu Baruah's Har Pall. Now the buzz is that she is back - on her own terms, that is.
If sources are to be believed, Preity was not happy with the dialogue of the film. She made sure that they were reworked and only when the words were right, she got back on board. Our source says, "Preity's argument comes as a surprise especially because Honey Irani, who's an experienced and award-winning writer, has worked on the dialogue of this film. The sets, which were being constructed at Film City, were also put on hold during this time."
Shiney Ahuja and Preity play the lead pair in the film, which is a romance between neighbours. While Preity remained unavailable for comment on the issue, her secretary, Tanuja Mehra, said, "Yes, she had opted out of the film but I've heard she is doing the film now. I really cannot comment beyond this."
Director Jahnu Baruah too, wasn't too explicit, although he did admit that there were some hitches before the start.
He said, "Every production house needs to work on things before they actually start their project. Some changes need to be done. Such things happen but we cannot call them problems, it's part of the process. Now everything is fine and we shall start shooting soon. Preity is doing the film."
Meanwhile, other cast members have been left guessing about the delay in the launch of the film. One of them said, on the condition of anonymity, said, "The film was scheduled to be shot in May but it has been postponed for some reason. It seems the dialogue need to be reworked, the executive producer told me that it will take a while before we start the shoot."
