Prakash Raj is flying high these days, not just for having five films under his banner but also for the pace at which these films have been progressing, especially one particular film titled Mayilu.
Tamil films, in general, are shot in two or three sometimes even four schedules, with each schedule ranging between 20 and 25 days.
This stretches the time for shooting the entire film to approximately 50 to even 100 days.
Mayilu has gained significance for it’s tight or should we say well-planned schedule? This Prakash Raj production, directed by Jeevan, was shot entirely in Usilmapatti village in a single schedule. The shooting for this film, which commenced on 2nd October, concluded within 45 days.
The postproduction work is underway and the film will hit the screens soon. Producer Prakash Raj is all smiles and praised director Jeevan’s planning and execution of the project as this has reduced the costs considerably. Kudos to director Jeevan, he now has a lesson for other directors wanting to get into the producer’s good books.
