Pooja Batra has been lying low after her marriage to a US-based doctor. But the gorgeous belle is eager to return to action in film industry in 2007.
2006 was an uneventful year for Batra. She was last seen in Akbar Khan’s Taj Mahal in a role that fetched her accolades from critics. But living in Los Angeles with her hubby has been keeping her away from Bollywood.
Meanwhile, Pooja has not renounced her film career altogether.
She enrolled for a six-month film course at UCLA to learn various aspect of filmmaking. She has also done a couple of commercials and hosted a show for NRIs in the US.
But Pooja says she still needs to do something substantial to satisfy her creative urge. She is eager to return to Hindi films. Although she has been reading scripts and receiving offers from filmmakers, Pooja has still not given her nod to any project.
And she also quashes the rumours of any trouble in her marriage. She says her husband, an orthopedic surgeon, supports her career choice.
