A court on Monday adjourned to October 27 the hearing on two appeals filed by Bollywood star Salman Khan against his conviction in a blackbug hunting case as District and Sessions Judge GS Suaran was on leave.

Salman is exempted from personal appearance in the case and he is away in Bangkok for the shooting of a film.

Salman's counsel HM Saraswat said hearing of the appeals would now take place on October 27 on account of leave of the District Judge.

The appeals were filed by Salman in a poaching case in Bhawad in which he is sentenced to one year imprisonment with a fine of Rs 5,000 and another in Ghora Farm poaching case in which he is sentenced to five years in prison and fined Rs 25,000 by a Jodhpur court.

These cases were registered against Salman for poaching of the endangered Chinkara during the shooting of film Hum Saath-Saath Hain in 1998.
