Believe it or not but pirated DVD's of the latest films like Desamuduru and Salam-e-ishq are being sold in the state for just Rupees Forty. The problem has become intense with the film chamber seeking the help of police to curb the menace.

However the problem persists. Earlier the film were available only after about six months or so after their release. Now they are in the market within a few days of their release. This is definitely going to hurt the producers.

The racket seems to be operating from Anantapur. The films are secretly recorded during special screenings abroad and at special preview sessions using sophisticated hidden equipment.
