The film unit of 'Pellayindi Kaanee…' directed by EVV Satyanarayana and produced by Narasimha Rao on the banner of Raasi Movies with Naresh and Kamalini Mukherjee in the lead had returned from Kashmir after shooting for about 14 days there.
Speaking on the occasion, director EVV says, 'I shot several films in Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand and other foreign locations. However, I could not find beautiful locations which I saw in Kashmir this time.
When compared to our own Kashmir, all those places were very mean. When we mention about Kashmir, everyone feels that it is a disturbed place. But we were able to shoot three songs peacefully with the help of Jammu and Kashmir tourism department and the State government.
Especially J&K Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad cooperated with us very well. As far as our film, all the four lead characters – Naresh , Harish , Kamalini and Bhanupriya – were equally important and the film would earn them a very good name. Moreover, the film had good scope for entertainment and music.
' Producer M Narasimha Rao says, 'I had produced 'Abbayigaru' with EVV as director some 14 years ago. I am very happy to do a film again with him. The shooting was almost complete. We wills start re-recording from September 10. We are making efforts to launch the audio after September 20 and the film on October 12.
' D Prasad Babu says, 'Though I had worked as cameraman for 150 films so far, this is my first film in the combination of EVV.' Sunil, Chandramohan, Mallikarjuna Rao, MS Narayana, Krishna Bhagawan, Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao, kallu Chidambaram, Krishna Rao, Sana, Jayalakshmi and others are in the cast.
