![]() The prestigious Panambilly Prathibha Puraskaram, instituted by Samskara Sahithi, a cultural wing of the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC), will be presented to Malayalam superstar Mohanlal on 26th November by Union Defense Minister A.K. Antony in a function to be held at the Karthika Thirunal Theatre, Thiruvananthapuram. Mohanlal was selected for his overall contribution to Malayalam cinema over the years. Announcing the award, state Congress president Ramesh Chennithala said that Mohanlal was selected by a three member jury headed by George Onakkur. The award consists of 50,000 rupees. a citation and a memento designed by Prof. Naryanapillai. Poet Sugathakumari was the first winner of the award.
