The beleaguered Khairatabad MLA P Janardhan Reddy is now at the crossroads. Having burnt his boats with the chief minister over the road rage issue involving his son and son-in-law, his future is in a dilemma. The high command has not come to his rescue and Digvijay’s comments have only added insult to injury.
P Janardhan Reddy is now clearly facing the biggest challenge in his political career spanning over three decades. He can swallow his pride and stay back in the party, but that would mean admitting defeat at the hands of his bitter foe Y S Rajasheakar Reddy. And his followers and well wishers are none too happy at the turn of events.
PJR is getting strong feelers from both the Telugu Desam Party as well as the Telangana Rashtra Samithi. According to indications, PJR is slowly veering to the TRS. The reason is obvious, being a Telangana advocate; it makes sense to align with the TRS. He can leverage himself better in that party and also further his cause. He can continue to remain as the undisputed leader in Hyderabad.
The scene at TDP is entirely different. While he may be given a red carper welcome, it is well known that he would be sidelined systematically over a period of time. He would be just a small fish in a big party like the Telugu Desam. Whereas in the TRS he will be a big fish and with his charisma and hold in Hyderabad, he can capture the number two position in the TRS. With the Presidential election out of the way, get set for some interesting developments on the political front.
