Sushmita Sen has been seen bonding with Muddassar Aziz, director of Dulha Mil Gaya
Sushmita Sen has turned over a new leaf in her life. (Again!). Just when we were waiting for some garma-garam khabar about her and Bunty-Sachdeva, the actress surprised us by getting a new boyfriend! Bunty, it seems, is now history and the latest man in Sush's life is Dulha Mil Gaya (DMG) director Muddassar. DMG stars Sushmita, Shah Rukh Khan and Fardeen Khan in important roles.
Before Bunty, Sushmita was involved with ad filmmaker Manav Menon before she left for Trinidad to shoot for DMG in May. Prior to Menon, she had a long relationship with actor Randeep Hooda.
Says a source in the film industry, "Sushmita and Muddassar have been dating ever since she broke up with Bunty, about a month ago. Sushmita and Muddassar go back a long way. They have known each other for a long time, and became very good friends on the sets of DMG in Trinidad. Of late, the friendship has blossomed into romance. They have been spotted going out together."
When contacted, Muddassar laughed. "I am very fond of Sushmita as an actor. I know her from the time she did Zindaggi Rocks, which I wrote for Tanuja Chandra. We are very good friends. We do have things in common to talk about. We share a great rapport, but it's not a romantic association," he claimed.
Has Sush spoken to him about her ex-boyfriends? "There are certain issues which we don't talk about," says the writer-turned-director.
Quizzed about being spotted together, Muddassar does not deny that he and Sush did go out together. "We are professionals. We must have been discussing work," he quips.
DMG producer Viveck Vaswani prefers to defend his director. "Since Sushmita has a very difficult and challenging role in DMG, she has interacted with me and Muddassar very closely in this film. Hence, it is being misconstrued. They have been around me for most of the time, and carrying on behind my back is a little difficult," he says.
Vaswani takes the opportunity to say that he is upset with the stories which floated in the media about DMG while he was busy filming the second and most difficult schedule of his new film overseas. "Let me put this on record that there is no Brian Lara, Sachin Tendulkar and Dilip Kumar in my film," he clarifies.
Sushmita plays a supermodel in DMG. SRK plays a business tycoon who is her boyfriend. Fardeen is paired opposite a new girl, Ipshita. DMG also stars Vaswani himself, Tara Sharma, Mohit Chaddha, Johny Lever, Suchitra Pillai and Bina Kak.
