Playing fabulous roles in films like Fire, Bawander, 1947 Earth and Maati Maay, Das now wants to reinvent her career by getting into film direction. The subject of her film deals with family ties and relationships. Das is very excited about her directorial venture. She says that she always wanted to direct films for a simple reason that people would be watching the film through her eyes, which is not possible to do as an actress. It is learnt that she is very keen on casting Naseeruddin Shah and Paresh Rawal in her film. Though Nandita is reluctant to talk about the cast, Paresh Rawal confirmed that he is a doing her film. Paresh said that he can see the passion for directing films in Nandita and working with her would be a treat. Nandita is currently busy with location hunting and is expected to begin with the shoot by December.
