The prestigious NT Ram Rao memorial national award instituted by the state government will be conferred on noted Hindi actress of yesteryear Waheeda Rehman. An announcement to this effect was made the government today. The award caries a cash prize of 5 lakhs, a medal and a citation.
Sivaji Ganesan, Dr Kannada Rajkumar, Ilayaraja, Ambarish, natasekhara Krishna are among the previous recipients of the award.
