Mohanlal is for the first time writing a story for a movie, starring himself in the lead. The film titled 'Swapnamaalika' to be directed by K B Devaraj will feature the story written by the superstar, in which he will appear as Dr.Appu Nair who is working on a research project in an American University.
Elina, a english women will appear as the heroine playing Radha Karmel in the movie.
The movie was earlier planned with Prithviraj, donning an important role with Lal. But now the movie has rescheduled its narratives, based on a fresh story by Lal which will not feature Prithviraj in the casts.
'Swapnamaalika' will also present ace singer M G Sreekumar as the music director. The film will feature four songs written by Aparna Karimbil, set to music by Sreekumar.
The movie will be shot in locales at Varanasi, Allahabad, Delhi and Ottappalam.
