Many movies have been made on Devadas and thee was also a recent Bollywood blockbuster from Sanjay Leela Bhansali with a big star cast. Anurag Kashyap is now ready to make a modern Devadas.Abhay Deol and his friend Devika Bhagat have developed the troy of modern Devadas and narrated it to Abhay. The screenplay has been written by Vikramadithy Motwani.Abhya Deol will play the title role and Mahi Gill will play Paro.
The paperwork is still going on and more details will be known soon. The modern Devadas would be modern in many ways. He would wear Jeans and T-Shirts and would also fight like regular heroes in Bollywood. Anurag Kashyap's new film No Smoking has completed shooting and is likely to be released in September.
