I have just returned after shooting for the film Anamika in Rajasthan. It is already a beautiful state and the place we went to is simply majestic. I was lucky that my director Ananth Mahadevan had decided to shoot in one of the most beautiful places possible that was Bikaner.

There is a palace about 20 kilometers away from Bikaner called Gajner palace. We shot in Gajner palace and this is the only place that I would like to go back to with that special someone in my life. I really do not know why people prefer to go abroad most of the time. We have so much beauty in our country, we have so many fabulous places that we can go to. Even the foreigners, who come here to India have praises for the beauty and the heritage of our country.

Gajner palace is a place that has just won me over. We shot two schedules and packed up from there, but I'm just coaxing Ananth that we have another song to shoot and we should do that at Gajner. The palace is magical especially when you come from a city which is so fast and you go to a peaceful place like this. It has such a sense of tranquility to it. It's like coming back home.

I have fallen in love with the peace and tranquility of this place. It is a place where you can be completely alone and still not feel sad in you loneliness. It is a peaceful loneliness. You will feel that you are living in the time of the maharajas. This place is meant for people who like heritage and know how to appreciate its beauty.

This palace belongs to the rajas and is now converted into a hotel. There is a man made lake probably built by the maharajas or the Britishers and it is beautiful especially at night when you have all the lights reflecting from the water.

The palace itself has its restaurant which serves awesome typical Rajasthani food. It is a feast for the taste buds of foodies like me. The gatti ka sabji, buttermilk, dal baati..... ......brings water into my mouth.

I feel that all those people who visit Rajasthan, should also plan a visit to Gajner Palace. All that I would like to say on my part is to go and unwind in the luxuries of this beautiful heritage palace.
