A sessions court here adjourned the anticipatory bail application of pop singer Mika Singh till June 17, but refused to grant any interim protection from arrest in the molestation case registered against him on the complaint of Bollywood item girl Rakhi Sawant.
The court also asked Mika to be present in the court on June 17 when the anticipatory bail plea comes up for next hearing.
Sawant's lawyer, Rahul Moghe, sought to intervene in the case, opposing the anticipatory bail plea as well as Mika's plea for interim relief.
Mika's lawyer, Anand Prakash, told the court that his client feared arrest as police has added section 506 (2) of IPC (criminal intimidation) which is a non-bailable offence.
Mika, younger brother of pop singer Daler Mehendi, was booked on charges of molestation and assault, after Sawant complained he "forcibly kissed" her at his birthday party at a hotel on Saturday night.
According to Sawant, Mika's bodyguard also manhandled one of her friends who had intervened following the incident.
Sawant had yesterday said the Punjabi singer was likely to visit her house in an apparent move to patch up.
But police said that even if Sawant decided to withdraw her complaint, the case against Mika would continue.
