The reshuffle of AICC office bearers and the appointment of Rahul Gandhi as the General Secretary has fuelled the speculation of mid-term elections. The congress party is seen as gearing up for mid-term polls early next year.

Initially it was said that if the Communists parties withdrew support to the government at the centre, ten mid-term polls to Parliament would be inevitable. Bur indications in the state also point out to likely mid-term elections to the state assembly too.

    Get-ready-for-mid-term-polls-–-YSR

    According to reliable information, Y S Rajashekar Reddy is reported to have raised the issue and told his cabinet colleagues to be prepared for mid-term elections.
    However, there is still some doubt whether the election would b for the Lok Sabha or to the state Assembly.
    According to indications, the Let parties are seriously thinking about withdrawing support to the government at the centre. But is it going slow and will take a final decision only sometime next year. If the Communists withdraw support, them elections to the Lok Sabha would be held in March.
    Left to the Congress, the party leaders are of the view that it should go in for elections sometime in September/October.

    Elections-in-March!

    The parties in the state are all getting ready into an election mode. The climate is very cold in state with temperature falling to about 10 degrees at various places. But the political temperature in the state is shooting up.

    The talk of a snap mid-term election to the Lok Sabha is gaining currency. The congress party is said to be toying with the idea of a mid-tem elections in March 2008. And the TDP, TRS, and the left parties are asking their cadre to be prepared for such an eventuality.

    YS-will-become-CM-again!

    This is bad news for some congressmen, Chandra Babu, Chandrashekar Rao and others. Chief minister Y S Rajashekar Reddy will not only complete his full five –year term but will also return as chief minter after the next assembly elections.

    Y S Rajashekar Reddy’s stars are reportedly strong and favourable. He is going to rule the state for another five-year term after the end of his present term. A city based astrologer D Gnaneshwar came up with this prediction the other day. He has some more good news for YSR. The chances of a separate Telangana are extremely bleak and it is unlikely to happen anytime soon.

    Elections-in-February-

    The second letter received from the election commission of India urging the state govt. of A.P. to send immediately the list of IAS Officers, it can send for conducting elections is strengthening the signals of early elections as discussing in the govt. 26 officers from the state deployed to different places of the country to conduct the elections, were included in the new list of state govt.                                                           & more

    The one person who is very unhappy with the outcome of the trust vote is the TDP chief Chandra Babu Naidu. He had hoped that the fall of the Manmohan Singh government at the centre would pave the way for early polls in the state too. But now no such thing is going to happen. Babu will now have to wait for the YS Rajashekar Reddy government to complete its full term. No elections are likely to be held in 2008.

    Mid-term-polls-a-reality-now-



    All parties are now seriously gearing up for mid-term elections to the Lok Sabha. The congress and the TDP are in a combat mode and are announcing a series of sops to woo the voters.

    The two communist parties have also started serious talks over the poll alliances. They want to go it alone at this stage with like-minded parties. The TRS too has indicated that it will go it alone. So has the BJP. And all eyes are still turned on Chiranjeevi with the hope that he would make an announcement soon.

    7-9-12-politics

    The politics in the state are hitting a new low. With the talk of mid-term elections, all parties are now going all out to woo the voters. Now if you are wondering what this 7-9-12 is all about, then read on.
    The ruling Congress party promised 7 hours of uninterrupted free current to farmers and rode to power.

    The TDP, which criticized the Congress no end on this particular issue, has now shamelessly adopted it. Chandra Babu Naidu has now gone a step further and has now promised 9 hours of free current if voted back to power.

    KCR-predicts-polls-in-March-08



    TRS chief K Chandra Shekar Rao claims that the state will go to elections early next year. KCR predicted that there world be snap polls to the state assembly in March 2008. Elections are due only in 2009 but even some congressmen do not rule out advancement of polls in the state.

    Sonia-gives-shock-to-Babu

    Congress president gave a big shock to TDP chief Chandara Babu Naidu. Her announcement in Delhi on Friday came as not only a shock but also a big setback to the grand plans of Babu.
    Sonia stated clearly that there was no chance of a mid-term poll in the country. She said that the government would complete its full five-year term. Babu, who was gearing up in anticipation of imminent polls, started announcing sops in a big way. And he even started hitting the road with his read shows. Now all this will have to be stopped. With no polls round the corner, the situation is back to square one for the TDP. Babu will now have to cools his heels for a good 18 months before the next elections to come up.

    Raghavulu-says-no-to-Congress

    The communists fought the elections to the assembly in alliance with the Congress. But later, differences cropped up and the two left parties are now going all out against the congress in the state.
    Raghavulu clarified on Monday that there was no question of any alliance with the congress for the next elections. The decision is not at all surprising as the elections if any will be an outcome of the CPM withdrawing support to the congress government at the center over the nuclear deal issue.

    Observers have long stated that Raghavulu was more inclined towards the TDP while the CPI leader Narayana has a soft corner for the Congress.
