Finally Meera Jasmine decided to shed her anti-glamorous image. She plays dual roles in the Tamil film Nepali, directed by Durai.

Tamil actor Bharath plays hero in the film. For Meera Jasmine this one is going to be a film that will change her reputation in the industry forever because there are some kissing scenes and not only that she appears in a swimsuit too. Reports stated that she had some problems with the director in the beginning as she was not comfortable in the swimsuit.

Meera Jasmine did not like the idea of more retakes and angrily told the director to use the best shot taken earlier. The same thing repeated when some rape scenes were shot. The actress had earlier rejected many glamorous films.
