Mayavi’ becomes the first film of 2007 to celebrate a hundred day run. The film becomes the first super hit of the year, earning around 15 crore, in its century run. The film also celebrated Mammootty's talents in delivering humor as he flourished in subtle comedy numbers, with able support from Suraj and Salim Kumar. The film is also the third super hit by the director Shafi who has earlier created films like Kalyana Raaman and Thommanum Makkalum, which also ran hundred days.

The film which made a bumper initial had no stiff competition, as the films that came during the last three months just managed to be hits or non starters. After reaching a superb 75 days run by Vishu, the film was shifted to other major centers and was the most wanted first change release. The film managed a big initial even in the first change centers running all through the Easter and Vishu season.

In the capital city itself the film has managed a gross of 61 lakh from a single theatre in its 100 day run.
