Mammootty’s double appearance in a film is considered jinx! In his 25 years career span he has been unsuccessful in the films he has come in double role characters. He has done more than 300 odd films but have portrayed in double roles in very few of them. Only ‘Dada Saheb’ and ‘Samrajyam’ were the two big hits with his in dual role.
Mammootty after a long time is attempting a double role avatar. He is appearing in a new film by Anwar Rasheed who is riding on the biggest success of his career ‘Raja Manikayam’. The film is yet to be titled. In the film Mammootty will don the roles of two brothers. The film has script by P Naayarambalam. This Mammootty starrer will be produced by Marikkar Films. Rahul Raj is composing the music. Currently the script and crew of the film is being finalised. The film will go to the sets by the end of November.
