Noted comedian and general secretary of Movie Artists Association Mallikarjun Rao passed away this morning. He was admitted to Apollo hospital a couple of day ago after he took ill. Malikarjun Rao was suffering form leukemia. He is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son.
Mallikarjun Rao began his career with the film Ladies Tailor and acted in over 375 films in his long and illustrious career. He won the Nandi award for Best Supporting actor for the film Tammudu.
The news of his demise came as a big shock to the entire film industry Mallikarjun Rao’s funeral will be held at his native village Gavarapalli near Anakapalli.
