Malaysian government has banned a rock singer from appearing on TV programmes for three months after he bared his chest during a live show. Faizal, however, apologised saying, "I am truly sorry for the gimmick". Slamming the act, Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission rated the stunt as ‘insensitive’ to the viewers and Malaysian culture, the New Straits Times reported on Saturday. "It is a serious offence in a live entertainment programme," the commission said in a statement. Malaysia has strict guidelines for entertainers, who must cover up from chest to knee onstage.
