The film Maisamma IPS has been rated as one of the worst films to hit the screen this year. The film is full of violence, revenge, murders, sadism, incest and what not. The audience as well as the critics sees the film as a no hope.
But the makers of the film are laughing all the way to the bank. The reason is their smart idea to name the film after a goddess. Maisamma is a very popular and powerful Goddess in Telangana. And the producers have cashed in on this sentiment and have managed to sell the distribution rights of the film for over 5.50 crore. The film was made with a budget of just over 3.00 crore. So irrespective of the fate of the film at the box office, the producers have made a profit of over 2. 00 crore. And all the credit for this goes to Goddess Maisamma.
