After working for Yashraj's Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, Lara Dutta was hoping that she'd made a subtle entry into the camp. But when just about every actress in town from Bipasha to Katrina to Deepika were signed on for their next project, and many other that were considered, Lara was left in the cold. So, she was surprised when she got a call from Aditya Chopra to do an item song in the film.
Not interested in an item number, she didn't reject Adi's offer outright but asked for time to think. Not used to be kept waiting, Adi saw the delay as rejection, and before Lara could say Jhoom.. he approached Sameera Reddy who merrily jumped on the boat. So when Lara went back to them it was a "Not Interested" board that met her at the Yashraj office.
