Lara Dutt made her entry into bollywood after she won the Miss Universe crown; she made her debut in Andaaz alongside Miss World Priyanka Chopra and Akshay Kumar Although Lara Dutta has not yet received her break in the industry in the form of a solo hit, nonetheless Lara is thoroughly satisfied with the films that she has done so far. Apart from her professional life, Lara is also extremely happy with her personal life as she has been seeing model Kelly Dorjee since the last seven years.
Lara however does not see her relationship affecting her career in bollywood; she does not believe that her long term relationship with boyfriend Kelly will ever be the reason for lack of work in the film industry. Lara is also known for her playfulness and loves keeping names for all her male co-stars. Lara has re-christened some of her co-stars like John Abraham whom she calls ‘Sidey’; in turn John calls her ‘Item’. She has also given Vivek Oberoi the name ‘Britannica’ because of how well-informed he is on a variety of subjects. But Lara has two names for her co-star Abhishek Bachchan, sometimes she calls him ‘Pouty’ because his lips are miles away from his face and at times she even calls him ‘Amma’ when he behaves in his over-protective manner.
Lara has also worked with Sanjay Dutt in ‘Zinda’ but unfortunately he is one co-star who Lara does not dare to give a name and that is because she is intimidated by him. However Lara herself too has a nickname given by her first co-star Akshay Kumar , he calls her ‘Paaji’ as often she would behave in a very tom-boyish manner. Lara Dutta has received appreciation in her multi-starrer films like Masti and her recent film No Entry Lara will be appearing in a chat show ‘Rendezvous with Simi Garewal’ where she will talk about her love, life and bollywood career.
