Malaika Arora Khan has refused to don a bikini in the Indian leg of the Ms Bikini World contest, which will be held in Goa this December.
A representative from Niksan Infomedia, the organisers of the event says, "We wanted Malaika to do a segment where she wears a bikini. We spoke to her but she asked for too much money. We couldn't afford to pay her that much."
"It would have been great if she had asked for less money to don the bikini. But it's okay. We have approached her for a few other segments for the same event. We are hopeful that she will do one of those at least," adds the representative from Niksan Infomedia.
When contacted, Malaika admits that she was asked to walk the ramp in a bikini. "But I have never worn in a bikini in a film or on the ramp. So why would I do it now? Yes, I quoted a price which was too high. But that was simply to deter them."
"Thereafter, they approached me to host the event or be their brand ambassador. I am in talks with them for those two things. Let's see if and when we lock the deal," Malaika adds.
