Much was said and written about the absence of stars like Pasupathy, Nayantara , and Meena in the function of Kusela audio launch held in Chennai on June 30. All the stars have come forward to clear the air explaining how they were unavoidably busy.
Pasupathy, who plays a major role – even bigger than that of Superstar Rajinikanth – was annoyed with the Kuselan team for not projecting him properly in the advertisements. His absence was seen as a boycott. He has now clarified that he was in Moonar for the shooting of Vedigundu Murugesan, in which he plays the lead role. It is also said that Pasupathy has conveyed his regrets to Rajini and Vasu for his absence and has also apologised to veteran director K Balachander.
Nayantara said that she was caught up in the last day’s shooting of `Egan’ and hence could not make it to the function. She is also believed to have called up the superstar to convey her inability to attend the function and apologied for the same.
Meena too has clarified that she could not come to the function as she was in Hyderabad for a Telugu movie.
Will these explanations put the controversy to rest?
