It was a victory of sorts for the media. A young boy, Rohit was kidnapped by some unidentified people from his residence on Tuesday. The kidnap incident was widely reported in the media. A section of the electronic media also highlighted this story on their networks and raised awareness about it.
The media efforts have resulted in a positive response. The people were alerted and the kidnapers had no chance but to abandon the boy and flee. The boy was abandoned near Khammam and the police have now taken custody of the boy. It is due to the efforts by the electronic media that the kidnap issue came to a happy ending.
