Ater her award-winning role in Jab We Met, Kareena Kapoor is on a different high these days. The actress says that she does not take success or feel it seriously. "I just love acting and being busy on the sets," she says.
Bebo has now signed a film opposite Aamir Khan , to be directed by the acclaimed director of the Munnabhai series, Raju Hirani. In fact the audiences were keen to see the Aamir-Kareena jodi sizzle on screen. "I am looking forward to a great year ahead. I have Rohit Shetty's Golmaal Returns which is an Ashtavinayak film ready for release now. Then there's Yash Raj Films' Tashan which is releasing on April 25. I am very excited with this film as it has a lot of action. It is a role any actress would die for. I did Tashan as a challenge.
I have Sajid Nadiadwala's Kambhakt Ishq which will be shot for three months abroad, I will be away for a month shooting for Salman Khan's home production Mr and Mrs Khanna to be directed by debutant Prem Soni in Melbourne for a month, Karan Johar's next film with Saif and me will be shot in London for a span of three months. It's a hard-hitting role and we are devel oping the character. I am doing Ashtavinayak's next with John. I am excited with Ashtavinayak's film because it will have a new pairing," she says. "They have planned to shoot the film between New Zealand and Spain," she adds, It seems Bebo will be living out of a suitcase for a while. The actress says she is busy throughout the year and has no time for holi days. "I will be out of the country for the whole year now and will be coming to Mumbai only to perform at the award functions," she says.
The actress is said to be vying for roles in Hollywood next. "No way," she says. "I am working here. I rather go to L.A. on a holiday and enjoy the food and shopping there. I have no plans to go anywhere else," she clarifies.
When asked if she considers Jab We Met the turning point of her career Kareena says, "I have had many special films to my credit. Films like Chameli and Omkara have been special to me and they got me a lot of critical acclaim. But Dev and Omkara have always been close to my heart. I am very ambitious and greedy as an actor but it's sad that no one is making such films. Life in movies has been a thrilling journey and so were the roles but Jab We Met opened new doors for me. The role fit me like a glove. I would have been disappointed if it hadn't done well," she shares.
