After playing the role of a mute girl convincingly in her last release ‘Chup Chup Ke’ the versatile Kareena is all set to captivate hearts with her rustic and real character in Omkara. The movie is based on Shakespeare’s Othello and stars Ajay Devgan, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. Kareena plays Dolly Mishra, who is a modern day adaptation of Desdemona from the classic. She was thrilled to work with director Vishal Bhardwaj who’s last release Maqbool had won him immense critical acclaim. Kareena was all praise for this method director, and says “Working with Vishal and the team of Omkara was a pleasurable experience. His unique working style in Omkara is going to take me to another level. Playing the character of Desdemona has been my most challenging experience as an actress. There are very few roles that have given me satisfaction - 'Refugee', 'Asoka', 'Chameli', 'Yuva' and now 'Omkara'. I myself can't believe what I have done here."”
